15 Pharmuthi — To fade away with the slow decay of time, that is to be the destiny, it seems, of Amaranthine; a dominion whose name promised to be “everlasting”. But with the passage of time also comes a breath of fresh air as new dominions rise to claim the power left behind by their unlucky predecessors. Thus, we come to a  most intriguing alliance formed by distinguished disciples bound together by a common quality, a lack of fear of death.  They call themselves Anausa, which in an ancient tongue means “immortal”.  Led by renowned master strategist Mr. Malefactor, anchored by the man of reason, Nightvol, and propelled by the sharp wits of Abigeatrix Virorum and Adaeze, Anausa seems to be forward-bound and it might be wise to stay clear of their path.

30 Pharmuthi — During our lengthy departure from publishing news relevant to Ankhet quite a many of events transpired, which we will attempt to summarize below.

Desecrate to the 6th degree
A definitive end to the existence of Lady Sylvanas (Under City) whose compositions are frequently riddled with deliberate spelling errors, almost became a reality. Protected by Imperishable Ka, Lady Sylvanas warded off six character destruction attempts but was nevertheless forced to endure multiple days sans Ankhet access. No other disciple has been targeted as much; Euplicitous Arophram, next in line, has been the target of three.  Four of the five desecrates belong to the infamous disciple Dagger, who began his campaign after bribing the disciple Spam Witch to launch the first (reports indicate payment was in the form of a glowing vial). Spam Witch was promptly reduced and held captive in the Underworld, while Dagger would fail to escape punishment via ennui.

Wayward Dissolves
The group responsible for the Oracle and Declaration Mandates suddenly disbanded in mid-Phamenoth, ending in the process a span of 163 days of undisputed authority.  With most of Amaranthine having gone inactive, common belief has spread that there was really nothing left holding Wayward together. Exiting members are presently exploring less combat-intensive alternatives.

To Reign or not to Reign
Rumors are circulating that Reign, best known for his role in the Desecration of Euplicitous Arophram, has returned in secret to Ankhet, using a new name to pass detection.  In 2758, Reign became the first disciple to be banned permanently from play, his punishment for multiple ToS violations.  He remains the only player “not welcome” by The Oracles.  Proving someone’s true identity, however, is a tough business, especially given the anonymous nature of the internet.  Nevertheless, the disciple Cas (Amaranthine), who is suspected of being the reincarnation of Reign, has spent the better part of the last month being held down by various members of the community but none with the intensity of Mr. Malefactor (Founder of Anausa), who was Euplicitous Arophram in a previous life. Recent polls indicate Cas’ release is by no means imminent.

Chuma Reloaded

27 Pharmuthi — It was a complete sweep for the Monolith dominion as two of their members became the latest to claim ownership of the highly anticipated recently released set of Chuma gear. In order of acquisition, they are errational and Ytsejam. The purchase of these rare artifacts at the moment of restocking is considered by many the single, most challenging task in all of Ankhet (especially now that the timings are completely random).
